Simple as that, pressing shift does not make me move any faster. I can only walk. In options it says SHIFT is for sprinting.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

First, max sig length is 4 lines, which is about a quarter of what yours is right now.

Second, no. I would have suggested to rebind it, but it looks like you've already done that.

Ok, well, concerning signature length, that's funny. I'll remove it if that's your rules. Out of about eight other forums I belong to they all want you to list ALL of your computers components in your sig in order to help in troubleshooting, etc. It helps to eliminate questions like: What operating system are you using? What sound card so you have, what motherboard, etc.

EDIT: I just figured out why I can't run!!! I was simply too early in the game and run was not apparently activated yet. I would have thought it would have been seeing as how you get chased by cops very early in the game, but oh well. I just put on my HazMat suit for the first time and now I can run. Apparently "running" is a function of the suit, and you can't run without the suit on.

I can't run without an HEV suit on either. The other kids laughed at me on the playground and I said "wait until Dr. Kleiner gets here and then I can play flag football". I went to see the school psychologist a lot...:(

Woop-dy ****ing doo. Of the other 8 forums I'm a member of, I'm allowed to kill people who say "But it works like this everywhere else". Twice. Maybe we should change the rules here to be more accomidating for other forums rules?

*Looks at Ennui* - "Pleeeaasseee????"

Okay, I see you must be the senior azzhole here at this forum.

I was merely stating the rational of why I did what I did; I simply copied my signature from another forum. I said I would follow the rules here and I did; I removed my signature before I even posted that response.

I see that you get around the 4-line signature rule by just running your specs out the way you did; I suppose I will use your example and do the same thing.

Link hasn't gotten around the limit...his sig is 5 lines...as is beerdude's, and brimstone's, BAN THEM!!!
j/k
But that was quite an asshole reply from you Link :(
I guess you just misunderstood Bridgeboy...

Edit: LOL...nevermind about the 5 lines thing, I was using the school computers before and theyre at a lower resolution...doh

I want senior azzhole for my title :D

Mind you, I can see I took your post in the wrong light, however, I think you can see why I thought you were taking the piss, given that this is a games forum, not a forum dedicated to solving PC issues, as I presume the other 8 or so forums you mention are.

Okay, no problem. However, even though this is a games forum, having all your specs posted still helps in troubleshooting problems you may be having with a game. But yes, I can see how you could have taken what I wrote as a rant, but when I wrote it I was just shocked at the rule because it was very different than what I was used to, that's all.

In any case, the issue has been solved: I just splayed my specs out across the screen and now I only take up three lines.

Depends on your resolution, your at 5 line in 800*600. j/k ;)

Ahhh, good point. I'm currently displaying on my HDTV at 1920 X 1080 and I'm at three lines.

So, ummm... Is your problem solved yet or do you need help? :p

Yes, my problem has been solved. See my post #3 where I edited. Actually, all this 'flaming discussion' has occurred after the problem was solved, so you probably missed it, or you thought I was joking, but I was serious, this is why I couldn't run:

I had the same idea when I first ran hl2 back on the first day of its release, ah yeah it was good back then. I missed everything that day just to sit and play it through.

Yeah, this is my first time playing it. Long story, but events in my life had prevented me from getting around to playing it until now for the first time even though I was anticipating its arrival prior to its release (what's it been now, out for a year-and-a-half now?!!?!) :O :dork:

Ive played it like 5 times , with mods on 4 out of 5 times. Gotta love killing your allies and eating their bones with Sbmod = D

wait for HEV suit, till then just hop.....u can get going just as fast
