HL2: Water Hazard - Stuck!

I'm at the see-saw puzzle that requires you to push that heavy washer/stove/whatever it is into the hole to raise the ramp. The problem is that it doesn't raise it enough. I also have both cinder blocks, the chair, the tire, and the oil drum in there as well, but it still has at least a foot. I've tried going as fast as possible just to see if I could clear it anyways, but it doesn't work. I always end up lipping the wall and flying backwards.

Has this happened to anyone else? How can I fix it?

Yes. I actually did that first and was then wondering what the hell to do with this bobbing platform, lol.

Interesting new development: I decided to blow the boat over the wall with grenades. Sadly, I only have 25 health, so that would not be a good idea to do to myself. Any ideas?

That's weird - the stove alone should have been enough to lift the platform - I've never had this problem before.

It's a washing machine, and if it didn't raise it enough, try taking stuff off the ramp.

Yes at this point park the hovercraft somewhere and climb above the tunnels by a ladder and you will see a washing machine, push it till it drops down, then go down again and pull the lever. That will do the trick!!

It only needs that washing machine!

I sudgest pulling the lever again, that always seems to be the problem.
