hello

this is my first post here at hl2 net ,my name is rum ,and i like to say something about the ending of hl2.

did u ever wonder when the g-man was talking 2 u ,that you nerver even left the train and it was all a dream?

thats what hl3 ,its the second part of hl but it isnt.

do u follow me?

Interesting.

So poor lamarr doesnt really exist. Blast.

Lets see...how can i greet a newbie but at the same time act like im the boss of these forums...

YOURE WRONG
GO BACK TO WYOMING

Actually, that'd be cool. It could be like a training mission the G-Man put you through, and that the real events are very similar, but are the darker, original events that Valve had in mind. I think that they could make that work, with the Combine suppressing the humans even more, and the the combine Overwatch more dangerous. Think about it: Every creature that wasn't in HL2 (taken out) is in the real story (Half-Life 3). I really like that idea. Half-Life 2 might have been a virtual-reality training-type thing, like, he fed the dreams through your mind and caused everything that happened to happen, like it was scripted.
Or do I just sound really stupid right now?

If it was a dream, the whole thing was meaningless, and I want my $50 back. :p
VALVe isnt going to resort to that old plot device. It really does make everything pointless, and what good is that?

Remember a game named final fantasy X? lol

They didn't seem to have a problem with using that plot device and that was a reaaaaally unexpected and felt like it was thought up because they couldn't think of a better way to end it.

What about Alyx?
What about Alyx? Alyx might really exist, but is different in real life, or different events happen to her. Who knows. It'd be kind of like the Matrix, except that what you saw in HL2 really exists in the real world, to an extent, just is much darker.

Did it not cheapen the entire game?

'sides, Square Enix writes stories faster then Stephen King. :p Consequentially, QC suffers.

Even if there is an alternate Alyx,. all the progress you made on warmin the bird up would be for nothing!

Thats not right!

It'd be for something if it was a simulator. "Warming the bird up"? does that mean what I think it means? If so, then you can think of it as a dating simulator, too. heheh.

Alyx is the bird. I do hope thats what you meant!

And why would Gman put Gordon through a 'dating simulator'? Is he getting his kinky jollies too?
