Maybe I'm just missing something, but wasn't Eli the injured scientist you saw right outside the test chamber leaning against the wall?
I'm sure this has been asked before (sorry for bringing it up again), but how did he make it all they way out of Black Mesa, especially being injured? He didn't follow you, because several times the path was blocked behind you. He also must have gone an easier way, cause he didn't have the HEV suit to help him. Why didn't you just stay and go with him?
Also, do you think Valve knew the story to Half-Life 2 while they were making Half-Life? If I'm right about which scientist Eli is, he's the only scientist in the entire game that cannot be killed. Was that a glitch they decided to use later while planning Half-Life 2, or did they intentionally leave him alive?
