how do i install dm? I bought hl2 at bestbuy, do i have to buy a new version to getit

It wont let me install the game it wants me to buy a new version, i can play counterstrike source, this is bs someone please help me!

does it direct you to the "Browse Games" menu when you click it?
and is it under the "my games" tab ?

Go into steam, choose Play Games, right click on Half-Life 2: Deathmatch, choose install.

I'm sorry what? Restart steam, then you'll get a popup with HL2 DM and HL2SDK being avavible, just go on from there.

Or..

Choose HL2 Deathmatch from the steam games menu, download, enjoy.

You might also want to make sure you're running a legitimate copy of the game. All bets are off if you're using a warez version.
