How do you install mods?

I downloaded Minerva and Hl2CtF and there files are installed, but there not showing up on steam.I'm a real[emphasis on real] noob at this, so don't make fun of me;(

Well, if they had an auto installer and you didn't change their install paths, they should be there. Try restarting Steam.

If it doesn't work, check to see if the mod folders are present in \steam\steamapps\sourcemods

I re-installed Ctf and it's file are now with steams file on My Computer, but it doesn't show. Also whenever I click on any of my games, the screen turns black as if the games gonna start, then returns back to normal.

I remember when I was a n00b at installing mods, it is one pain in the ass no where can you find instructions, I thought you had to replace heaps of files and crap, GOD DAMN ITS A PIAN!

Download the game off the internets, if it's a winrar file extract it to Valve\Steam\SteamApps\SourceMods, if it is an auto installer download it to the same place then it should appear on you're steam game list, if it doesn’t restart steam because steam is retarded. Undo anything you've done to the mods because it's probably made you're steam games munted. :naughty:
