Pretty much explains itself huh? So how do you want Episode Two to begin/end?

One of the things that's been a trademark of the Half-Life games is the main character passing out, or being teleported randomly at the start of the game.

Half-Life: Gordon teleports 4 times before passing out and waking up back in the test chamber.
Opposing Force: Adrian loses consciousness 3 times before awaking in the hospital wing.
Blue Shift: Barney gets knocked out from the elevator drop.
Decay: I haven't played this game, but I'm sure one of the two occur.
Half-Life 2: Gordon awakens from stasis, is teleported to a train, and then is caught in a teleporter malfunction shortly afterward.
Half-Life 2 - Episode 1: Gordon is teleported from stasis and awakens on Earth underneath some rubble.

It would be disappointing for Episode 2 to not include the signature start of the series. Therefore, I hope Gordon wakes up in a train wreck. :)

Most likely start with the train wreck, where you will hear Alyx calling for Gordon, then we will see his famous scene with her hanging on for dear life, then god knows what happens.

You use the G-Gun to bend the pipe back, like with the Stalker. Just a guess.

I hope it ends with a nuke explosion.

EDIT: Opps, didn't mean to double post, soz.

ep2 will obviously begin with a fade-in from unconciousness... because ep1 ended with a huge explosion!

and most likely it will end in the trademark explosion or impending death scenario...

I'm sure it'll end with Gordon preparing to leave for the Arctic.

I like that idea, also i feel the ending may be a launch of the missile kleiner was working on. With this whole new enviroment thing going on with HL2, maybe valve might take it a step higher and give us another alien planet to explor in EP3.

I doubt we will see an alien planet in EP3. More than likely, if it does appear, we will see it in the next "story arc" whether it is HL3, or the next batch of episodes.

I loved Xen, it was creepy and man did it just make me love HL even more, and thats one thing that has lacked in the HL2 series, and seeing the worms with the lights on them in the new trailer, makes me seem valve is realizing they needed some crazy stuff like Xen, so i think its very possible it would lead to that, especially after seeing a rocket that is big enough to put people in. Not arguing, im hoping, i get to see a place like Xen in the source engine, man that would rock.

Possible, but i agree with the ending before though, Gordon preparing to go to the artic, then i would say EP3 will introduce an artic setting with a whole bunch of new creatures to fight who are adapted to that envoiroment.

We may return to Xen for the EP3 finale. I don't think we'll be going anywhere like the Combine homeworld mind, because that'd just be plain silly. Besides, the eps wrap up the HL2 story arc, which is about Earths struggle.

Possibly see the good old ship that was cut from HL2? That'd make for a nice setting, especially with the changes in the Source engine...

Yup, EP3 will end the Half-Life 2 story ark, whilst opening a new one for the next Half-Life. But I think future Half-Life's will involve the same characters as the ones in this one, as well as new ones, just like from Half-Life 1 to Half-Life 2.

Plus i think Valve are now adopting this episode method with all the future Half-Life games, or will be releasing like one big game (Half-Life 3 possibly), and then three more episodes after that. I hope they just use the episode methods from now on, im a patient guy but waiting 6 years for a game is quite annoying, with the episodes you can play bits of the main game over shorter periods of time, and have the chance to talk about each one before the next bit, plus apparantly Valve much prefer the episode method anyway.

I think in the end of it all we will find out first hand how the combine travel from their galaxy to ours, and we will shut the doorway forever.

It'd be nice to see a new story arc, but same characters..Just a different scenerio..

I also hope they'll go back and explain characters more. Perhaps in the style of another episode...

That I think they most likely will do. The characters in Half-Life are now apart of the game and taking one of the vital characters away would just not make the game the same. So i think they will keep the same characters (well the ones who survive), and introduce a new story and scenerio.

ide be happy with that also, we have not seen a arctic HL enviroment, im just hoping for something different, and valve is working on it and im loving every bit of it.
