How does this game look on lowest settings?

My system - 512mb RAM, GeForce FX 5600

I have FX 5200 and 512 mb as well. Runs so slow it is not even worth it. I can't even create my character it is so laggy.

the only difference between 5200 and 5600 is the slightly higher clocks on the 5600

Hang in there, there will be optimizing configuration settings you can probably adjust and the latest drivers will really help, especially new ones that have optimizations for Oblivion.


512MB Ram can be bought for like $50 or something and can dramatically improve performance - especially if thats the bottlekneck in your system.


You didn't say what processors you have


Im stuck here becuase I want to wait for a vista system ( DX 10 ) but I don't want to wait, so I'll just have to be very patient and know that one day I'll be able to enjoy this game.

p4 2.8 Ghz processor.
Video card: GeForce FX 5200
My fps when I start the game in the cell? 5-10 and doesn't improve much throughout. I'm taking it back once I can.

I take it you already have all the visual options turned off, like bloom and HDR, and you aren't running in a res higher than 1024x768?

Yeah, Dog--, I really wouldn't recommend buying it without trying it out somehow first.

1GB Ram is the minimum requirements... plz don't knock the game from running bad when you don't even meet the minimum requirements
