How friggin KEWL wud this be?

MODDERS! Make this a reality! Please.

Imagine this. Each single player map turned into a mission based multiplayer team game - with bots. One team plays combine, or zombie, or ant lions. One team plays allies.
Each has a base, eg. on Highway 17 (or watever its called) allies base cud be the starting point, and the combines cud be the furthest structure. Each area between them (all the little huts) have "flags" to touch. When you get there it's your base, with a few weapons slung in. Imagine having multiplayer warfare across maps as big as, say Ravenholm, rather than jumping staright into battle you'd have to hunt down your enemy, you could easily hide somewhere and keep watch. report back to the main base of activity. And have MAJOR assaults on bases going on.

Just thort itd be kewl. Friggin kewl, in fact.
 
So...you want Natural Selection with HL2 fauna?
 
Yeah, onslaught UT2K4 popped into vast hl2 maps.

No problem. We'll just ask someone to write a bsp decompiler, decompile all the levels, modify them for your mod, and then hope that Valve won't sue. Easiest thing in the world.

So, yeah, it's not going to happen. All these threads seem to indicate that people have NO idea how much work it takes to create a mod. It's not like you just sit down in front of the SDK and say "well, let's make a mod" and then release it two days later.
