How much $$$$?

So, how many of us have spent how much money on our PC's getting ready for this game?

I bought a new Athlon 64 and a Geforce 6800, along with doubling my ram to 1 gig. All in all about 1000 dollars worth of damage. Whew!

Oh and I also bought my girlfriend some jewelry to keep her off my back for about a week :E

I used about $2000 getting ready for this game.

CPU, MB, GPU, PSU, RAM, Monitor, DVD-Writer, Harddrive+++++++++++++++
I always buy more than I need if I can afford it. Bad habit, but still a lot of fun.

Damn, I would never buy my gf anything to let me play, she just has to respect it. =)

Anyway, I bought this computer only for HL2, I guess I'm nearing the $2000 line in expences soon. =)

Since the beginning of this year, I've spent i nthe neighborhood of $1600 - in just upgrades:
No name vid card ---> 9800XT 256M $500
Vid card dual internal fans ---> $25
AMD 2200+ --> 2800+ $125
Better CPU H/S + Fan ----> $25
Ram crapped out ----> Corsair XMS PC2700 1.5G $225
From 120G ---> Dual 74G Raptors Raid 0 $450
External HHD (backup) ---> $250

No more upgrades for at least another year!

£2.5grand. + Silver Package.

I bought my computer lat year, for which I spent about €1600.
Its still good enough, so no upgrades there.
An then there's the Silver package, hope u can do the maths

I had about 2 setups, yeah I change my mind sometimes anyways, about $1000 with new things and replacing stuff. X800 Pro was most expensive though.

n/o but save the look from the alienware computers and you could either
- have saved a LOT of money buying components separate
- gotten yourself a far better rig buying components separate

i spend about £900 on my PC without getting a new graphics card, so thats around $1600!!

Im just waiting for the next ATI card sometime next year, an then i will be 100% poor an living off porrage and beer!
