How to disable AUTOSAVE [*SOLUTION*]

Just type "sv_autosave 0" in the console (without the "), or in the config.cfg file...
have fun without stuttering anymore ! (but don't forget the F6 key ^^)

Sorry to burst your bubble, but this only disables autosaves immediately following a new level load. Is does nothing to stop the several mid-level autosaves that each level has. Sorry

To prevent auto-saving, mark the following files as read-only in the hl2\SAVE folder: autosave01.sav, autosave01.tga, autosave.sav, autosave.tga

Yeah they really should of made autosaving optional. When i first played through, i thought the stuttering was just mycomputer struggling to load the next room.
