ok I have a netgear WGR614 and I want to start a Gmod server. I know I have to do some port forwarding and stuff, but I have no clue to what all of that is. If someone could explain to me what I need to do it would be great. Thank you so much.

Also, it would be nice for me to have a static IP address, but I have two comps in my house and I need to have both of them connected to the internet. Keep in mind I know nothing about how to configure routers and stuff.....I JUST WANNA MAKE A GMOD SERVER......Sorry....Thanks for the help in advance.

http://server.counter-strike.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=59 for the stuff on port forwarding. as for ur static ip, u should already have one. www.whatismyip.com that should be ur static ip. ur gonna need to open up the correct ports to make a server(26000-28000) and perhaps do some further tweaking with port forwarding if ur still having problems. most of the time(well for me), there is a site that u go to and u login to change all this stuff. like 192.68.0.3 and then it askes for user name / password. if u happen to have one of these configurations where u can access ur router settings from a browser this shouldnt take too long. good luck on ur quest for making a server. :D i just got mine to work about a week ago(i have a router too). never really tried to make one but when i did, that forums was the best bet for me. dont post anything because everything u need should be there. :D
EDIT: u might wanna go here first: http://server.counter-strike.net/server.php?cmd=howto&show=linux#basics
DOUBLEEDIT: well actually u could post something and ask how to do it...but...they might get angry at u. lol. :D
