How would you rate your hype for hl2 on a scale of 1-10? (1=not caring about the game at all and 10=practically worshiping it)

I thought it would be interesting to see the results of such a poll on this site (as there are alot of claims going around that HL2 has been overhyped.) So, think for a little while how much you are anticipating the game, and please vote.

I think i'm a bit on 3-4. I am anticipating the mods and the modability the most. (at least I'm the one who'll be blown away if I have low expectations and the game turns out to be fantastic)
I hope people will learn that this game isn't the second coming of christ before it arrives, or there'll be a generation of gamers crying.

5. I was really looking forward to CS:S but I just got into Far Cry online and am really enjoying that. So I'm not as hyped anymore.

Half Life has some much nostalgia going for it (at least for me), that HL2 cannot get anything lower than an 8 (it'll shoot streight up to 10 as soon as the word GOLD is mentioned by Valve and Sierra).

I'd say 4, at least for HL2. I've stopped hyping games (look what happened to doom 3), so I'll only hype it if:

1) It goes gold (for sure)
2) It get's good responses from other gamers (reviews and the like)

My hype is not that big. It was great to hear the engine had low amount of bugs and all, but I'll have to say 6. Mainly because I have no compuer to play Half-Life 2 at when it releases. I will probably have to wait until next year or something.

My hype is coming back with all the recent progress, but after Doom3, I have to keep it a bit in check.

High expectations can become high dissappointment pretty fast.

HL2 scores a strong 10 on my hypometer. I can't remember ever being so hyped about anything computer-related apart, possibly, for doom2, which was a little disappointing, albeit not much.

I do realize that HL2 cannot possibly deliver on all the points I hope it will, but even if it delivers on half of it it will be the best fps in the history of mankind.

I voted 1. The less i think the game will be good the better it will be because i dont expect this game to be that good. Its mod will be the best ever but the game itself will be just another FPS trying to beat HL1 and i seriously dont think HL2 will come close to HL1 because HL1 was released with zero competition and it had things that next to know other games had.

Now HL2 has everything every other FPS has already with somethings less and somethings more e.g its graphics suck compared to doom3 - its facial expressions own compared to HL1 (id say doom3 but doom3 has pretty ****ing nice everything including faces).

The only game that is promissing something new in the FPS department begins with S and ends in R and has lots of dots ( . ) in between its letters and will for sure be the best FPS for along time in the SP aspect if it can manage to make the game fun to play in between missions. (btw STALKER is the only game that gets a high hype rating from me but im still not expecting it to rule out REAL LIFE like some HL2 fans expect of HL2)
