So I'm playin HL2, I'm driving on the coast. I just shot down the second gun ship and I'm driving on the part where those magnet balls get you. The first one I jumped out and grav. gun shot it off. The second one...I was too slow. It hit me so hard Windows gave me the "BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH" some type of error and my comp restarted. Didn't know Valve gave that ball the capability to "Hit Gordon so hard it'll B.S.O.D. you and restart your PC!" just thought I'd share...

That's weird. Not just the way you died, but the fact that you're running an OS < Win2k. (Yes, bluescreens can occur with win2k, but rarely, and never with SP2).

XP still has a BSOD, only a lot rarer and by default it automatically restarts instead of showing the BSOD.

And AFAIK, XP/2k is minimum for HL2.

Dang, when I was near that same area almost the same thing happened. I was behind a house and there was a combine tank/car thing with a box next to it. I had on of the balls on my G-gun and shot it in to the box and the box just sat there and the ball disappeared. I walked up to the box to try to grab it. It freaked out for like split second and my computer locked up and then rebooted. I'm running XPpro. It was really strange. Another strange thing that happened to me I grabbed a grate off a vent and pushed it in the vent, when I walked over it I let go of crouch and I jumped out of the map. It was like I jumped through the clipping because I couldn't fit in the vent with the grate. I couldn't get back in and had to restart. HL2 is a little buggy still.

I have XP Pro SP2, cept I'm runnin on a laptop with DX 7 graphics. I'm savin up for the PC that's in my sig. cept I'm gettin Athon 64 3400 instead of 3200
