taking out the generators

i disable the center generator, and disable the generator across the bridge to the right...but i can not figure out how to get to the generator on the left!

am i going crazy? i've looked in every space available to me and i can't figure it out...i'm sure it's something simple too

i'm supposed to enter some room with a bunch of trip wires and floor turrets (whatever you call them)...can't figure out how to get there

help?

screenshots always help.

sounds like you havent made your way to the surprise room yet. there's a room with holes in the wall you have to go in with Barney and and it seals up on you. after a while the combine come and torch the doors open. provided you save Barney through that you get to the third generator.

Ah, the hopper room. I find it more useful to launch the things than to plant them, personally.

I assume that the generator on the right is the one where you have to get through a room full of lasers? Well, once you shut off that one, just go back through the room with lasers (which you disabled now) then turn left to get to the main hall again, straight ahead using the other stairs, turn right, turn left (it's just following that hallway) and then left again in the 'surprise room' Wait for the combine to take action, and you'll get to the third generator pretty soon.
