Alright well heres my problem when i make a static prop as in a window make an opening in the wall where i want it put the no draw texture in the opening and make it the window fit but when i test my map and shoot the window (the window or the frame, this is not a breakable glass one) there is no bullet hole, is just goes right threw... can anyone tell me why this is happening

here is a video that shows what i mean (codec is divx)

then dont use static props no point in using one if there no room behind it
also check the flags

Alright well im kinda new to this but i use the sdk_de_cbble map they supply you with as a guide they use static props for windows etc. with no room behind them they just cut a lil hole in the wall and make it where it fits all pretty and put a no draw on it but i cant get it to work on mine like shown in the video

where exactly do you put the no draw texture could you take a picture and is this really a problem???

it bothers me not to have this working the way ive seen and played it for a pullet hole not to show up is not the problem its it not workin right thats bothing be, but this time mabe u can tell me whats up with it i made a another video with the camera in the editor, this is another map i made that will make it easier to see

I don't think you can do anything about it, the valve updates changed alot of the game. I really don't think anyone will sit there and shoot the window anyway.. that's alittle crazy to worry about man, move on.

Is the model normally solid? Have you accidentally set it to nonsolid?

Sry for not posting in awhile, ive been busy but ive had time to play with the editor once again, i tried reinstalling steam completely and i still get the same problem, now i see what you mean about how people arnt gonna be sitting there shooting at a window...well thats not the problem at the moment other then you can go threw the window... Crazy right but thats when i dont have a nodraw behind it. I do have it set to solid ive set it to "Solid" and "Use VPhysics" and still get the same problem, also it appears to only be with windows that i have this problem, if i was to create another type of propstatic it would be solid, the only reason why this is a consearn is because i wont to be able to create detailed maps that people will like and EVERYTHING (almost...lol) beworking the way its suppose to! If you would like to help me please send me a pm and i will be happy to give you my Xfire or A.I.M., or if you have a detailed tutorial about the proper way to insert these types of static props plz help!

Some props are not solid. With these particular props it doesn't matter what type of prop you make them. I find this to be the case with most windows from the map dust. I havn't looked closely at others though.
