I need help!!

This sucks

part of my HUD is cut off and in a wierd posistion when i play HL2 mods. I have tried the "Bloom-effect mod" and a weapon sound mod. I hope it doesnt do this for all mods. Ill try to get a pic of this wierd phenomenua :flame:

Do you change the resolution in game a lot? Do you frequently exit and reenter the gaming window? Those are possible causes.

If it (the display) is like this when you enter the game alltogether, I'm not sure. Try verifying your cache files.

The only thing thats askew is the ammo meter and the AUX power meter.

And its only for the mods, not regular HL2

Did you switch from windowed mode to full screen?

I get that problem in some mods.. I noticed it in GarrysMod in early versions, but I guess he fixed it. Also had it happening to me in HL2DM back when it was released but it doesn't do it anymore.

I played DAS ROBOSS (which was exellent), afterwards: same problem, even in normal Halflife2--> Any idea of a fix?

When I first got HL2 I had that problem both in HL2 it self and CS s but only when changing resolution without restarting, when alt tabbing it works fine. But I havent done it since november so it might be fixed now.

Yeah..I had this problem on Half-Life 1 mods but I havent noticed it on Half-Life 2. Maeby change resolution or use those nice little buttons next to the on/off switch of the screen?

I had the same problem, but i got it in the mods and Halflife 2. I just validated my files and it sorted it out. I don't remeber doing anything to mess it up, so i assume the mods are the things which do it? Extremely annoying not knowing how much ammo you have. :flame:

So....try validating your HL2 files.

update: Played online again-->problem solved (with onlineupdate?!?)

Doubtful, if it happens again then just do a search on http://steampowered.custhelp.com for "validate" and you'll be able to fix it by validating your files.
