I downloaded Doom 3 while waiting for my copy to arrive in the mail. Did not ruin my enjoyment of it (yes I liked it) and there is no way I could resist HL2

HL2 is the one game I swore I wouldn't get a warez copy of before I bought it.

Literally EVERY game on my HDD I downloaded before I bought it - think of it as a demo.

But in all of them, I've never once recieved a virus.

But that's not my point. I have too much respect for HL2. In my opinion, the hype will be worth it. I can wait.

Besides, every 2 weeks is one more paycheck closer to a 6800GT. Damn minimum wage.

So it wouldn't be worth the hassle for a few more days of waiting. I'm hoping the the copy protection on this game is going to be better than that of CS:Source which already has a crack out to play online. Maybe that's what is taking them so long?

And yes, I'd play a leaked complete version in a second. Valve has over $100 of my money for the gold edition -with shipping and taxes- , so I'm sure they wouldn't be too bothered. And even if I hadn't already bought it I would still dload the leak, but still buy the complete game on release.
