Ok, so I patched bf2 to the latest version (ea server dled the 300+mb patch in a few minutes
) and decided to give it one last shot.
I found, to my surprise, that I actually enjoyed myself! And this is in a pub!
Oh joy. I remember me and my squad leader (two man squad) were convoying, with me in a jeep, and he in a half blasted APC. We're going up one of the canyon walls on Kubra, when we come under heavy Tank, AA, and AT fire. I accelerate as fast as I can, and drive parallel to his APC so that it's blocking me like a shield. KABOOM! Bye bye apc.
Oh joy!
So yeah, i'm up for a game almost any time.
Ok, now my problem...
Ever since the last few patches, i've been having this unbearable lag issue. Every so often, the game will stutter and i'll stop moving, then jump ahead of myself to where I should be. This is unbearable, especially when it happens right when you have somebody lined up in your sights.
And this is with a ping of 60, and my firewall shut down.
It might be that i'm behind a router, but I doubt it.
And I know it's a network issue, because the stutter will escalate to the annoying "connection error" freeze, then start back to normal.
Just fire ideas at me and i'll zealously try them.
