I'm not getting my auto updates. What's the problem?

When you get an automatic update it notifies you right? Well I havent gotten any messages about getting them. I did just buy the game a couple days ago though, so maybe that has something to do with it. Is there a place where I can manually go and download them?

No, it doesn't give you a notice. The Steam icon in your system tray will have 3 dots or something when it's updating. You can also check the monitor.

Ring click on the HL2 icon, >Proporties. Make sure it says "akways keep this game up to date"

No, it doesn't give you a notice, it should though. A pop-up box that says something like "An update for Half-Life 2 is available, would you like to install Now or Later?" would be great... rather than just immediately downloading it.

It does do that after you've been using offline mode for a long time or something.
