I think Valve have realised that too much publicity is a bad thing. All they want to do now is work on finishing HL2 with minimum distraction.

I highly agree. Though the first delay is obvious in hind-sight, this release looks real this time. I mean, c'mon, it's the HOLIDAYS. Perfect timing. Plus the retailers have suddenly switched their release dates back to 11/03, and Bust Buy is planning that Pre-Sell. Pre-Sell are exactly as he stated, highly unlikely six-months before release. After all, it's a Pre-Release! I think VALVe's going to pull through for us, this thing has tossed the PR for Hl2 into a fever pitched state. Plus the fact that the hacks only effect Multiplayer stability, means they could easily release SP now, and patch up MP later.

Can you smmmmmeeeeeellllllllllllllllllllllllll what the valve is cookin. I think that possibly these guys are going to surprise us with an incredible holiday treat of hl2 for this christmas season. Or hannukah season. I bet they are only letting parents buy hl2 so that on xmas morning, you little buggas can run to the tree only to find a wonderfully shaped box of half life 2! You rip open the wrapping with such incredible speed you can't wait to see what it is!!!!

You finally see the title "Half Life 2" and you cry with joy!!! Ohhhh praise the day how wonderful!!!! Praise the day!!!!!!!!
