I went to the main Imperial City and was walking past the center Palace (that REALLY tall building you can see from almost anywhere) and a guard mentioned Civilians can only go on 1st and 2nd floors.

I was intrested, why they would tell me that and they actually go mental if you go on any other floor. So I sneaked about abit and went to the basement...

Well, go for yourself and have a look at some props in the corner... still think Umbra is the worst enemy? Hmm. :D

If you find out how to get on upper floors please tell, as the keys won't work.

my guess would be that you have to be a member of the Blades to get in to the forbidden areas ..that's just a guess though

I am a member. I'll try that out right now.

You're told how to sneak into the Imperial Palace in the last quest for the thieves guild. You're still technicallyable to sneak in if you aren't doing the quest, but you'll never figure out how. Ever.

The main quest line, after you take Martin to that Cloud Something place you get asked if you want to become a member.

For the blades you need to get further into the Main quest and you get invited.

Has anyone else seen these "props" I've mentioned in the basement? Really intresting. If someone gets the chance, screenshot them. You'll know when you go down there. :)

ah ok, thx guys ...I havent rescued martin yet

i think i know what youre talking about...is it the throne, the mace and the hourglass?

I saw the big mace, chair, hourglass and crystal ball downstairs, but I didn't see a giant that goes with it, although I tried to use the hourglass and all that happened was that is let off a little orange light, dunno what it did

Yup, you found it. It makes me wonder though if this "Giant" is somewhere or something to do with the quest. I wonder how it ties in with the Imperial Palace.

The hour glass did the same to me too. Must go with a quest.
