Impression: This game is pure ace !

I finished the game last night. Even my expectations were high I guess Valve did it again, the game exceeded the expectations.

God, HL2 gfx are AMAZING! The sounds and music are very good. The AI is impressive, the best I've seen so far in a fps game! The lipsync and animations are a piece of art!

The whole artstyle were nice designed. I really liked the artwork of the Combine. The Citadel levels are more then just a game, I've NEVER seen such nice atmosphere in a game!


pros:

Amazing gfx
Nice leveldesign (especially the intro level, water levels, ravenholm, citadel)
Smooth animation, realistic facial and lipsunc
Diversity gameplay (driving, airboats, walking, physic puzzles etc)
Smart AI (best so far in fps gaming)
Physics ofcourse
Amazing details put at models, leveldesign, storyline etc...
Good storyline with humor

cons:

Maybe some levels are too linear
Some parts are too easy to beat
In the coast levels there could be more action going on
Maybe 2 extra weapons. I didn't liked the combine gun and the crossbow. They could have amde the crossbow it so much better.

Yea, I played it on hard and it was well...damn hard!

I had to switch to normal about halfway though (weak, I know) because I was having difficulty!

Still playing on Hard, having a hard time on the Elites though, especially because they use secondary fire of the pulse rifle
