In Kind of a jam, sorry to ask here...

Sorry for a completely off topic thread, but I need help. Certain webpages wont load for me(kinda). Pages like HL2 Fallout and the Official Steam and HL2 sites all seem to redirect me to a "Med Network" page. Even some of the other forums on this site (where i would have posted if possible) take me to the "med network" site. Has anybody else heard of any kind of virus that does this, or possibly any fix? Once again; Sorry to post here, but its literally the only place I can post. Thanks.

well.. as u can imagine, Valve's servers are busy with content so that means the forums will obviously be down.. as for other HL2 sites? massive amounts of fans flooding sites is another safe assumption.

if u are worried, scan ur computer for a virus and spyware.. but um yeah.. massive floodage :thumbs:

Just recently I had that EXACT same problem. Certain sites would load a Med Network site, or certain images would display a Prescription Meds ad instead of the correct image.

Problem went away on it's own. Definitely was a widespread DNS issue, as there was no adware, spyware, or viruses on either of my machines.

But yeah, weird freaking behavior for my pc. ydoyoucare is right though, I've had this problem before and it's gone away after a day or so, but it keeps coming back...finally got me really pissed, nothing is going to stand in the way of HL2 day!!
