I am working on a map that requires some enemies to spawn outside and then head towards the building the player is in to attack it. What happens instead is the enemies spawn, then wander around until they spot a player, then they will head for the player and attack.

We have tried many different paths, nodes and ai_assaults and so far nothing has worked, they always just wander around.

How can we get the enemies out in the woods to always head for the building??

any help is appreciated.

You might be able to work out what was done in Ravenholm if you review the given map of it in sourcesdk_content/hl2/mapsrc. I think they relied on rally points or aiscripted_* entities--I forget which.
 
I didn't think it was possible to use "mature" and that name in the same sentence. Amazing.

I'm rather adverse to Valve's Wiki thingie, but try this instead.
