Alright...i have a major problem here..I started new game half-life 2, after finishing it...i thought i would fool around alittle with impulse 101 and noclip on the first level...that went fine and that, but when i came to kleiners lab, various objects begins to flicker exxesive white/normal textures when i grab the HEV suit, i'm really pissed about this since nothing causes it to remove again, i tryed to uninstall everything- Steam, Half-life 2, Source, so that nothing related to valve was installed, then i reinstalled, and yet again it starts, i almost destroyed my keyboard...argh, anyone know what causes this flickers?

all flamers and idiotic posts will be ignored...

Nothing was wrong untill i tryed impulse 101 on the first level.. And i asure you i have the legally bought DVD-edition installed :|

i doubt this is related to impulse 101 or noclip, i'd worry more about the video card

try new drivers, also what is your video card?

....and is it retail? :D

Lissen...i just formatted my computer this tuesday...so i went to www.nvidia.com and grabbed the latest graph driver for Geforce 4 MX440...

Still i dont think its the graphic card, cuz nothing was wrong untill i used cheats in point insertsion

And no...its the normal dvd-edition bought in a store on 16th nov...

Yesterday I had a problem in Vampire: Bloodlines which looks similar to your second shot - for example, some walls would randomly disapear. Closing and restarting the game solved the problem though (9800 Pro).

Is Vampire good? I have been wanting to try it :)
And I really dont know what is wrong with your game. You have DVD copy of the game but I have a regular one. Wish I could help :( Maybe you could tweak some options around?

I'm not getting any help here people, really...doesn't anyone know how to fix it ;(

It's most likely your video card drivers. Also, you'd get better responses in the support forum.

That's probably the problem, it's a MX card. The one I had was always causing trouble.

DUH :sniper: I tolded i ALREADY, how many times shall i repeat? i completed the game TWICE before this shit came up, now stop saying its my drivers, and shitty mx440 i know its ****ed...but it sure worked wedensday

i have a somewhat plausible theory.
you noclipped, then you went out of the map and forced the card to render all of it (you see what i mean). the card couldn't cope with the rendering => this overheated an already fragile component of and bam, now there are artifacts just as if you over-overclocked it.
most likely, you'll have to replace it.

There is no reason to get all angry if you don't like our answers; it's not our fault this isn't the tech support forum.

When people mean drivers...they mean change them, downgrade them or clean them off and get different ones. They are giving a you solution, if your card hasn't been broken by you over using it (for HL2 that card really isnt that great tbh)
Try being a little more calm, we like helping people who are considerate, those who shout and insult us get a slap in the face. Anyway, try old drivers (eg. ones that came with your card on the disc, they'll be old)

In layman's terms, you tried running new software on ancient hardware and it went boom. Thanks for reading the minimum requirements, GOOD DAY SIR.
