The official title is Half-Life 2. There's no superscript in the actual name, that's just used for the logo.

Also, the background has Half-Life II as the title. Which is also wrong.

That's definitely a fake!

But like I said before... Valve use a superscript 2 in their logo. We used a superscript 2 in our logo. But you'll never see Valve call the game Half-Life² and you'll never see us call ourselves HalfLife².Net

I know this is a *very* boring topic, but VALVe have to make sure it will work on PCs with different versions of Steam (i.e. not fully up to date if the person hasn't connected to the net recently), or no Steam at all (that being the easiest, I s'pose). Good luck to them

The game will come with the latest steam and it will scan for previous versions.

Just like Gamespy does.

If the person has not net connection then having an out of date version wont matter cos they wont be able to upgrade it anyway if another version of steam is released after HL2 luanches.
