Installation every start-up???

Everytime I try to start up HL, Windows installer comes up and the program takes about 10 minutes to load. Is this normal?? If not, nething I can do to not make it happen??

Sounds like that's precisely what he's doing. Are you starting up HL2 from a desktop icon or from steam?

This problem isn't coming up nemore but thank you for trying to help. It's greatly appreciated. I'm having another problem though. The AI is disabled. Kinda looks funny though when you run into a bunch of CP's and they're just standing there when they're usually trying to brutalize you. Has this happened before? Ne way to turn it off?

EDIT: it's doing the installation again.

I'm a noob. Sue me.

Hehe I just got it so I haven't had much time to play around with it other than HL. As far as admin rights go I just have it as an open computer with no passwords required at start up.
