Interesting Rollermine Behaviour

Somehow, I managed to take out the sniper in episode 1 from upstairs using a single well-aimed launch of the first rollermine.

When I went downstairs, the second rollermine came at me? and then went unstable. I'd already picked it up when it went from blue to red; Alyx told me to bring it over for reprogramming.

I wish I'd brought it over, just to see what would happen. I instinctively flung the mine away before it exploded. What's a little damage if it lets me see what would happen when Alyx tries to reprogram a mine that's already gone crazy?

So now I have to make that lucky shot again and see if I can get another unmodified mine to go crazy. Or I can ask to see if anyone else has done it.

In my opinion, it would most likely explode before Alyx does anything.

The mines are always programmed to go critical after all the enemy's are dead. As soon as you kill the last one it'll go red and blow up. Alyx won't reprogramme it, she just runs away from it.

Ah, managed to take out the sniper with one mine again.

Same as before, I picked up the blue mine, it went red, and Alyx asked me to bring it over. It stayed red and blew up, but Alyx *did* zap it with the zappy thing. Guess it didn't work, though.
