Is Barney part of the combine?

Not that he's going to betray you or anything, but what he's wearing is a little strange. He has a sash on his arm with the same wierd Combine symbols as the soldiers do on their vests. Plus his clothing is differant than the other friendly soldiers, it's blue, has a vest, and he has black pants with a white stripe. What if he was forced to serve as a soldier in the combine? If so that would be an indication that the combine soldiers are actually human.

Of course he could have just been modled that way to make him stand out more in a fight.

He might be undercover, or maybe they just used the combine model as a placeholder.

I'm not kidding, this is the 5th time this has been brought up. Honestly. Go to Search, type in Barney and see how many threads come up.

Yeah lots of things in the E3 demos were place holders, so it could be.

I dunno if he is part of the combine, I can't tell by looking at his vest, but the pants he is wearing are identical to those worn by combine soliders in that battle scene. You can tell by that stripe going down the side. Just take a look at the video. Its just speculation, but I would guess that he was either trying to infiltrate the combine, or he defected from their side... or both...

Barney prolly found a dead combine and stole his armor because it provided better protection. Or hes "UNDERCOVER" (Ooooo) Prolly not tho.
