Is LAN via steam possible?

I have been trying to play some LAN HL:source Deathmatch lately, but it seems Steam doesn't allow LAN Play.

If I log with the same account (even offlive) I get a "SteamID is already used on this server" "Couldn't validate SteamID"

Is there a way?

That's wierd. Make sure all accounts are running in Offline Mode, I've gotten LANs to work in... well, all Steam online games, really.
