Is there an easier half life 2 editor?

I want to make maps for hl2 but i dont like hammer coz its too professional. is there an easier map editor?

Allow me to clearly state that there is no alternative, and even if there was it wouldn't be simpler than Hammer.

If you actually had a genuine interest in making maps, you would buckle down and really try to learn the program, instead of giving up and asking for an easier way.

At first, it was hard for me to use Hammer Editor.

Then I discovered http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/SDK_Docs

Now, I make good maps.
