NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4200 with AGP8X Ver. 6.13 is what i got. Plz tell me if its good enough.

and can someone tell me how to get the specs for my comp

I also have a Ti4200 and I'm planning to upgrade before the release of HL2. The Ti4200 is a pretty good card for games that are currently out, but for HL2... you probably won't be able to use max settings and/or you may get low fps. Overall performance also depends on the rest of your hardware.

It'll run HL2 fairly well, I imagine. If indeed the E3 trailers were produced on a machine with a GF4 Ti4600, your card will have the same featureset but won't perform quite as well in frames per second. If they were produced on a high-end ATI Radeon card, you can forget about many of those details. :(

No you should get another card. you can get 9800 PRO now for only $150 and that will run hl2 really good

You can't get a real 9800 pro for $150. Cheapest is around $195. But yes, get the 9800 pro.

Yeah.. I must buy some stuff too.
So the Ati radeon 9800 pro is a great decision huh?
I need to buy averything new. My cpu kinda sucks...
Tips on quite cheap, yet good machines, or stuff to put togeather?

that 150 dollar one is 128 bittttttt

For $502 you get:

9800 pro($151): http://buyaib.com/geatira98pro.html
A64 3000+($206): http://www.portatech.com/catalog/viewitem.asp?ID=10722
DVD($15): http://www.acortech.com/.sc/ms/dd/1...%20Internal%20IDE%20Brand%20New%20Bulk%20Pack

Motherboard($82): http://www.gameve.com/gve/Store/ProductDetails.aspx?sku=MB-MSI-057

PSU($48): http://www.newegg.com/app/viewprodu...1&CMP=OTC-pr1c3watch&ATT=Power+Supply+for+Cas

Take the floppy from your old comp and voila, you get one real good comp. You'll laugh at those like me that buy Graphic cards for over $500

lol we kind of need a budget. we could get you the most expensive hardware, not knowing that you can only spend like £300/$300.

9800pro is a great choice, and you dont really need a killer mobo to run the thing.

your budget though please. detail detail detail or we cant give you useful help.

btw, right click my computer on the desktop and click on properties. your specs should be there. if you want really detailed info on EVERYTHING, then click start, run, and then type dxdiag, and hit enter.

I don't trust those fly-by-night internet stores. They don't seem very legitimate.

I noticed that its 128 bit one but its still better than 9600 XT
