At first I thought the first part sounded a bit out of tune, but it does sound a bit weird for me in the original as well, so I guess it's just meant to be that way.

I'd try this myself, but I need to get me a capo first.

played on a 12 string it has a much healthier tone but im not shelling out any more money on guitars any time soon.

Plus, for some reason my newly bought high e string goes dull on an important fret....ahh well
