Just bought Half Life 2 and didn't expect this

I bought Half Life 2, the CD-Rom version off ebay for $30. All I want to do is play the single player missions. The Cd key has already been registered and i would have to pay $10 to get it re-registered. I don't really want to do this. Are there any cracks out there that would allow me to play Half Life 2 without registering through steam. Feel free to ridicule me all you want but i would appreciate some help.

Bad idea.
Just do it, surly it doesn't cost less than $40 retail.

the lesson is....."dont buy anything that requires a unique cd key off e-bay...cos its already been used" and no we wont tell you of any cracks, you will have to buy a new copy, contact the guy who sold it to you or go without.

well now you learned your lesson about buying on ebay, i would suggest that you go and buy another copy of the game and dont try cracks, they might have spyware, virus's etc. - zaffino

We're not allowed to link to warez or anything here. In any case, Half-Life 2 is one of those games where it's an increidbly stupid idea to buy it off Ebay.
