There seems to be a lot of confusion about who Mossman is and how she fits into the HL storyline. Just so everybody knows, she applied for the same vacant position that Gordon applied for, but just barely missed out due to Gordon being more experienced.

Source: Eli in Black Mesa East in HL2

Method to find this out:
When Mossman first leaves the room to leave you and Eli to catch up, follow her into the office. After she tells you that she thought you and Eli would like to catch up, go back and talk to Eli. He will tell you who she is and why you were hired instead of her.

That would be interesting to think that Half-Life 1 would be played through the eyes of Mossman. I bet she feels releaved to know that she didn't get stuck with that big of a responsibility!

Heh, actually she wishes it had been her in the test chamber that day, she wishes she had all of Gordon's fame and seems to think that she would have somehow been capable of doing half of what Gordon did...

Listen to Alyx as you both walk towards the junkyard airlock, she tells you that Mossman never shuts up about how she wishes it her.

Mossman gunning through HL1! Earth would be doomed LOL.

From what Alyx sais Mossy is clearly is jelaous of Gordon.

Mossman was sorta bitchy in Star Trek: The Next Generation too :) But damn was she cute ;)

Some lines from the script that werent included in the game: (mossman)

"My work is about saving lives"

"I wasn't careful enough. Breen knows everything we learned. You have to stop him. " (i.e breen is escaping with the teleportation technology)

Gina is a hologram created by the scientists at the original Black Mesa to help train people in how to use a hazard suit (just play the training level in HL1 to see her).

I don't think that either Breen or Mossman were evil, but rather misguided (either that or we're the misguided ones). It justs seems to me that they are both working for what they truly believe is the only way humanity can be saved.

Gina Cross and Collette Green were characters in the PS2 coop Black Mesa adventure Half-life: Decay. It, like the other expansion packs, takes place in parallel with Gordon's story.

You know how in Black Mesa when you get your hazard suit the ones on each side of yours are already taken? They are Gina's and Collette's. I believe it was Gina who loaded the sample onto the elevator that ascended into the test chamber (as played in Decay and witnessed in Blue Shift). Gina's likeness was used for the Hazard Course hologram, and is a playable model in HL multiplayer.

I really hope that at some point they port Decay to the PC, since I haven't played it and would really like to learn more about what happened at Black Mesa. Maybe even Decay: Source.
