Kim Swift says "Portal 2"

Meh, I'm not that excited. The first one was fun the first time but otherwise i'm not that big a fan.
 
Wondering if Portal 2 will take place in a test chamber setting again, perhaps at another Aperture Science lab somewhere, or someplace totally unexpected...
Will be something worth waiting for though!

I totally agree. They'll just ruin the legacy of a otherwise pretty good game.
 
If we do get more GLaDOS, then it would probably be one that 'evolved' differently than the original, having been set up either somewhere new or under different circumstances.
Maybe one that is 'sane' but a cold and calculating killer...
 
Her little red insane core has been destroyed. I would imagine a personality closer to that which we hear in "Still Alive" were she to return in some sort of sequel. The way I personally envision this game is more as an emergence of the portal gun into the current world (whenever that may be) and the consequences thereof. The only problem I see with that is that outdoor environments are going to be very boring with our existing portals.
 
i hope as well, but the gqame must be an much longer than...

Maybe the huge white portal at the end super charged the Portal Gun, like the Combine scavengers do to the Grav Gun, allowing us to create many more portals etc.
 
In one of the commentary things the commentator says " in this first portal game....."
 
I doubt there'lle come a portal 2...

Portal co-op or the other hand...

I'll admit that for some reason I'm not as interested in this as I am in Episode 3(although the fact that I just finished Ep.2 yesterday and haven't touched Portal for months might have something to do with it), but I'm still looking forward to it.

One thing that worries me though...the portal gun doesn't work on any surface that isn't perfectly flat, so it would be difficult to use in HL2's post-apocalyptic world. Maybe we'll actually use it less than in the first game and instead it'll become a tool to help solve otherwise normal puzzles(sort of like the Gravity Gun in HL2).

Also the Enrichment Center is presumably located in the USA, rather than Eastern Europe like City 17, so that could lead to something interesting.

This all of course assuming that you don't play as someone completely different than Chell.

This. For some reason I'm like "meh". I want portal 2, but I'm not super-excited like I was with the first.
 
I would love to see either more GLaDOS, or Chell, and having two stories would be pretty awesome. One side you play as Chell trying to make her way to find some help, only to find that she just escaped to another enrichment center, that houses an entire ecosystem... actually forget the other story, just hav GLaDOS just be all "HAhAA. You didn't seriously think you could escape that easily, did you? welcome to the Natural course, here the device will be tested on how it fares in a natural environment."
 
I'm looking forward to it. Since Chell has escaped the test chambers, she could be in more outdoor envionments now.
 
I want strider battles god samnit.
 
I would love to find out more about Aperture Science and stuff like that.

I think the reason for that is that Ep. 2 ended with a bit of a cliffhanger, and we know that there is more story to be finished up in Ep. 3. On the other hand Portal, while a very good game, doesn't give us much to look forward to, until the first previews of Portal 2 come out.
