Kleiner's First Name?

Does anyone know Dr. Kleiners first name?

It seems odd to me that in many of the presentations, vids and releases that Valve have created that Dr. Kleiner is continually called Doctor, where as Eli Vance is well known as Eli rather than Dr. Vance.

It seems so premeditated, there has to be a reason for it, almost like they want to keep Kleiner at a distance from the player and let then get all cosy with Vance.

Any thoughts?

Hmm...

Seeing as the name "Dr. Kleiner" itself is a pretty new name to the Half-Life universe (he was mentioned briefly in the Half-Life manual) and the only thing we've seen him in is one short demonstration, it would be a little bit presumptuous to say no one refers to him as Isaac.

I can imagine Eli referring to him as Isaac instead of Dr. Kleiner.

I guess so, but Alex is even more recent than Kleiner and we know her very well, as is Eli.

And as for Eli, well... people just call him Eli I guess. I can guarentee that he'll be referred to as Dr. Vance at some point during the game.

Likewise I expect some people will refer to the female doctor as either Dr. Mossman or Judith. Just like some people call him Gordon, some people Dr. Freeman and others Mr. Freeman.

I'd say it was origionally ment to be Alex Kleiner but then they realised that it would cause confusion with Alyx so they changed it.
(Though if they had kept it in there could be some pointless back story about Vance naming his kid after him for some reason or another)
