know of a good rig helper tutorial/setup?

Hi, for my next mod I will be doing a lot of animation myself and I am hoping to use the infinite knowlege of the folks in this forum to find a good setup for helper objects to affect my rigs so animation can go a lot faster. I found some but they are mostly older (max 4 and such). You folks know of any newer ones? Thanks a ton.
