Limits on SAVES???

I started playing HL2 shortly after it was first released and played single player as I had time, then had to set it aside for over a year. Sigh. I'm playing again on a different computer. It seems to me as though it used to let me SAVE as many SAVED Games as I wanted, without limit. Now it seems to only keep the last 2. I dislike this. How can I change it back to again keep a larger number?

I still have over 200GB free. I need an answer that helps. I would like to keep the last 5 saves.

You can keep as many saves as you want is what he is saying...there is no limit.

It will only keep the last two AUTOSAVES, and continually overwrite them with the next one.

QUICKSAVES overwrite each other too.

MANUAL saves, done by you by pausing, clicking "save", and choosing a save spot, can be done as often as you like. I'm guessing you are only using the quicksave or autosave functions.
