List of important console commands: we need a reference

I know we have the npc sticky up there, but I was wondering more generally if people can let each other know what the important tweaks are that can help us get the game to do what we want. For instance, the body stack command. Or the command to make physics/gravity and such act like it's slow mo. What are the fun/important settings that people have found?

I have a really stupid question:

Do you bring the console down with the ~ (tilde) key as normal or is it another combo - I think Doom3 was SHIFT-CTRL-TILDE or something.

Any advice would be much appreciated.
