You need to install a download applet to grab from that site. (and it doesnt work with FireFox). No thanks. They should not even want to install software on my computer.

Not a virus, but the applet could include spyware.
You should find a better host. Some people have been using angelfire.com . Theres an issue when linking to files from the forums, but you can get around that easily enough.

I've got to assume that he used HL2 sound effects. At 500+ posts he should know better.
