Its just basic (actually complicated) algebraic equations.

We disccused this a year ago.
They were also on the E3 2003 Video of HL2. They were alot clearer on last years video tho.

Its somthing the player wont ever need to worry about, its references to string theory and medical reports of a guy in a coma (or similar) and some other stuff, its just an errie flash of stuff! to confuse and intrigue lol.
