Is Lost Coast worth playing? It says that I do not meet the system reccomendations, so should I not bother?

Lost Coast is eye-candy, not much of gameplay or story. It's pretty much a map to demonstrate HDR. If that doesn't bother you, download it and give it a shot.

It was pretty damn short and you need an uber-fast computer to get the the cool HDR, but if you like to play things again and again, go ahead and get it.

It is worth playing. I had half the recommended RAM but it's still beautiful at a frame every second.

Meh, I didn't have HDR but it was a neat little play-through. It was all worth it to see dead Combine fall down the side of the cliffs. Install it. You'll enjoy it.

Because I "only" have a Radeon 9800 Pro, I can only play Lost Coast at a graphical level that looks worse than Half-Life 2. For me, it's high resolution OR HDR. Frankly, if I have to chose, I'll choose high resolution, average lighting over horrid jagging, low-detail textures and awesome lighting anyday. What's the point of having awesome lighting falling on objects that look crap?

Lost Coast is visually awesome, but the gameplay is nothing special. It will last you 10-15 minutes maybe, less than the few SP maps there are out there - and if you don't have the computer power to see all the LC beauty, you'll just play through an average and short level. Downloading which will likely take more time than playing. Make your choice.

Turn off the commentary option.
