I found a video on youtube that purported to have discovered a console command that would set the textures very low, and "make it look like you are playing an n64". I completely forgot the title and the command, and wanted to find out if it was true. Has anyone heard of such a thing?

huh, i have not. I suppose you could just set the res to the lowest in options..

there must be a console command for resolution, and someone put it super low to look low-poly.

I suppose it could work. :\

I think he's talking about the low res texture command, which I've seen my cousin use before. It makes all the textures quite blurry.

I forget what it is, but I don't think he's talking about an actual low screen resolution or low polygon count.

Using the mat_picmip command without any arguments, should show you the default or what it's currently set to.

mat_picmip 0/1/2 (high, medium and low texture quality respectively). Some sourcegames allow it to be set lower than low.
