making water in hammer

I know this is kind of a noobish question, but i was reading on the Valve-ERC website, about creating water in the new hammer editor, and I can't seem to actually get water there. It only seems to talk about cubemaps, which i created one, but then it says i have to put it on the surface of the water, and I dont have any water there yet. :(
any help? I'm just making a simple hl2dm map to practice my mapping on (basically in a big hollowed out box, with some things in it, different surfaces, etc)
 
make a brush, give all the sides a nodraw texture, give one side (top) a water texture, that should be it.
 
yeah in tha filter type nodraw and it should come up. but be sure when u make the water that u add a "water_lod_control" entity or it wont work. and if the water has those ugly purple and black squares then u need to add an "env_cubmap" and click on the keyvalue "brush faces" and then select the "pick" button and then click on the face of ur water.
