Manipulator Bug in E32k4.

Im not ranting on anything but this really tripped me out. Watch the beginning of the part were gordon is going to fight the roller mines. Look at the manipulator. Notice how the claws dont open. I thought NOO THEY REMOVED THE OPEINING CLAWS! But then later in the same part they claws open again. i was like WTFOMGHAX! Anybody else see this?

It's just an animation bug, I'm willing to believe he pressed secondary fire before the animation had a chance to go through
 
d00d theres no need for killing. Its a simple minor glicth i wanted point out to show my 1337 eye skillz...j/k!
 
The player wasn't pointing directly at the roller mine, so it didn't open

Oh for the...what do you think is taking valve so long too tweak?

Lighten up, the game isn't completely finished yet.

correction, the game IS finished, but bug fixing is not :)
 
the Manipulator claws open when you are able to use the manipulator on stuff, and closes when it cannot be used.
 
you know biozeminades is such a cool name i'll be gutted if they dont add it to the full game.


Bug fixing in a game as complex as HL2 gonna be a while, huh. I think i'm starting to get the shakes.
 
"Biozeminades" will almost certainly pop up as a reference or creatures in a mod. I'm sure of it.

When I say "not completely finished", I'm refering to the tweaking - if you carefully read my post :) . I'm very aware of the fact by now that gabe said that the game is feature complete.

It only opens when its close to (and aimed at) something that can be picked up
 
This remonds me of the cool bug with the gluon gun when you press both buttons simultaneously.
 
completely off topic: could someone explain the whole biozomenades thing and how it started. i have some idea, but i always feel like im missing the very beginning. thanks.
and what was the bug with the gluon gun.
 
think the claws didn't move cause the manipulator didn't pick up the mine, it went straight for gordons face and i think you can press secondary or fire to remove things that get stuck to you..
