Marathon

Do you guys remember Marathon ? Man, I use to play that On Mac, what a great game, I loved the enviroments, the aliens and the weird noise they made, and the weapons were really cool.
If my memory is write, Bungie made the game.

yup it was made by Bungie, when they were a mac-only developer ...ah the good ol' days

Any plan to release a new version ?

no it'll never happen (dont know who holds the rights now) ..the early developers left a long time ago ...Bungie of today holds little resemblence to when they worked on marathon.

But it'd make an awesome game today ...it actually had a good story

A new marathon, not likely - though it would be so very cool if there were one.


If you've played Halo you can see many similarities with it and the marathon series - for example look at the old rocket launcher from marathon and the one in halo

There are a lot of hints that Marathon is in fact intimately linked to Halo in some way. For starters just check ou the Halo logo. That pattern in the middle of it look familiar?

When I first heard of halo - I literally thought it was marathon 3 with a new name.
