www.overclockers.co.uk

Here is a list of all there ram:

So far I have seen 2 which I might look into getting. But I need to get the best I can. Take into acount I will be using it for:

Games (lots of them :P)
Video Editing
3d graphics

this is a kingston pc3200 2-3-2-6, costs $270 = 147.275 GBP
= 224 EURO

this ram is faster than whta most people talk about, saying that 3-2-3-7 or something like that is good ram. obviously u see the faster speeds. plus it comes with a crazy as leguna seca blue ramsink. MY FIRST CHOICE!

or

Corsair XMS 512x2 extral low latecny. 2-2-2-5. fastest 3200 ram out, $355 = 193 GBP = 290Euro

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=20-145-522&depa=0

super fast ram, MY FIRST CHOICE! as you see im a very conflicted person.

so ill give u some advice from asus.

if ur running intel, get the fastest timing rams, if not get the most bang for the buck. in other words fast timings dont work on AMD as much as they do on INTEL.

p.s. i took the time to convert the fcking cost not in 1 but 2 currencys. so u better give ****ing thought to my post. !!!!!!

p.s.s im a super hl2 fan. so all info i post here is for the better performance of hl2 and nothing else.

Get Geil or OCZ, those are my suggestions. Kingston has quality, but their performance sucks.

One more question I forgot to ask, are you going to be overclocking?

Proberly not. I am not an overclocking person. I overclocked by CPU before but just took it back down because at the end of the day it didn't make much difference. So no I won't be overclocking.

You only want to get RAM higher than PC 3200 if you plan on overclocking. I would go with Corsair memory since that is my personal preference.

Option 1: Corsair 1GB DDR XMS3200C2 TwinX (2x512MB) CAS2 (MY-026-CS)

Option 2: Corsair 1GB DDR XMS3200XL Pro TwinX (2x512MB) CAS2 (MY-050-CS) for 269.07 (including VAT) pounds.

Option 3: Corsair 1GB DDR XMS3200C2 Pro TwinX (2x512MB) CAS2 (MY-026-CS) for 220.31 (including VAT) pounds

They don't carry option 1 at that site. But that is the one I recommend. The difference between options 1 and 3 is that option 3 has little blinking lights on it to tell you when the RAM is being used. It is more of a gimmick than anything else and costs more money.

Take their advice,.
If I was buying, I would find memory that work at 2-3-3-6 timings or lower and then pick based on price, as long as it wasn't a no name brand.
Corsair, OCZ, Crucial, Kingston, and GEIL all are good.

Correction, I would look at memory compatibility first. Check Gigabytes website for details on their website.
Also check out Tom's chart for compatibility.
btw SPD means Serial Presence Detect which basicly detects the timings of the RAM automaticly. You can always set them manually.

Thanks for all the help guys. I am proberly going for option 1 or 2 from blahblahblah

Btw, what does (MY-050-CS) mean?

I think it's a reference number for the component. Whatever it is - it's a google whack!!
