in the tennements bink, you can hear the female voice warning of a 'miscount.' ive also just noticed that in the trainstation bink, you can hear a combine say 'check for a miscount' just before the combine tells you to get into the room (just after "cillivilian, come with me")

a miscount of what? (maybe after the 'suppressed reproductive cycle' message from breen, it means spermcount :cheese

miscount - as in Gordon isn't meant to be there. I somehow feel the combine are keeping a check on who enters city 17 - and Gordon sneaks into the city 17. I can bet my boxors that barney or someone saved Gordon in that interrogation room.

Well, I'd assume that it's a miscount of people. I would assume that people in C-17 are registered in someway, including those who have just arrived. Except Gordon, who was only just dropped into this mess. So I would assume that the camera didn't recognise him as being in their database, and the doors closed. Someone said "check for a miscount". Same thing in the tenements -- the combine find a miscount of people in the block, and they raid the building. You can see quite a few combine rushing up the stairs when the announcement is made.
